Item 8.01 Other Events.

On July 26, 2007, Targeted Genetics Corporation announced an update on its development program of tgAAC94, an investigational therapy for the treatment of inflammatory arthritis, and its previous announcement of July 24 that the company and the United States Food and Drug Administration stopped the trial as a precautionary measure after the occurrence of a Serious Adverse Event in one subject.

A copy of the press release issued in connection with this announcement is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report and is incorporated herein by reference.
