February 16, 2023 - Los Angeles, California - Dj Hkeem, the highly gifted artist and producer making waves his electrifying beats and dynamic sound. Dj Hkeem's first single, "Trips," is a lively piece that combines hip-hop, electronic, and R&B. Born in Tajikistan, in the city of Khujand, a country known for being a center for music, art, and education during the Persian Empire. The artist grew up in a semi-musical family, and whenever they got together, there was always singing, and music involved. This deeply rooted love of music pervades and transcends his work.
Dj says “"Growing up aside listening to music from my country I was also in love with AfroCaribbean and Hip-Hop music. Because my country was so poor and not very developed in terms of technology, I had limited access to foreign music, but that didn’t stop me from finding new music. One of the Artists that gave me a huge inspiration growing up was Sean Paul."
His love of Afro-Caribbean music shines through in his debut single, "Trips," which showcases the talented performer's Afrobeats skills. "His choice of sounds and cadences of his music brings a joy only very good music can bring," says Dj Fredy Muks, Global Music Board Chairman at the Recording Academy.
