Green Card Fund and Witness Investment Strike EB-5 Financing Deal

Green Card Fund has agreed to provide Witness Investment with EB-5 financing for three hotel deals, including a Home2 Suites by Hilton, an AC Marriott, and TownPlaces Suites by Marriott. Witness is one of the top hospitality developers and operators in the Midwest.

-- Green Card Fund, a leading EB-5 Regional Center operator, is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement Witness Investment to provide EB-5 financing for a series of hotel projects.

Witness Investment, which was formed in 2016 with the merger of KB Hotels and Alliance Hospitality, has more than hotels in its portfolio, most of which carry Marriott, Hilton, IHG or Hyatt flags. Witness Investment’s assets total more than 4,000 rooms and more than $500 million in total value.

Under the agreement with Witness, Green Card Fund will provide EB-5 funding for the following projects:

·      Home2 Suites by Hilton – Ashland, Ohio (Rural TEA)

·      AC Marriott – Cleveland, Ohio (High Unemployment TEA)

·      Town Place Suites by Marriott -Elizabeth City, North Carolina (Rural TEA)

“An EB-5 project is only as good as its project sponsor, and Witness has proven themselves to consistently proven to be exceptional hotel developers and operators,” GCF Co-Founder and Principal Girish Patel said. “They have a tremendous track record of delivering successful and predictable results, which is extremely important in EB-5. Investors can select these projects with confidence that there is a high likelihood of a successful outcome.”

Green Card Fund has a 100% project approval mark with the United States Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS) and leans into its hospitality roots when selecting projects for EB-5 funding. Hotels that carry a Marriott or Hilton flag have the advantage of being connected to large booking networks and large loyalty programs.

“All of these brands are battle tested and are reliable, proven concepts,” GCF Co-Founder and CEO Kyle Walker said. “EB-5 is not a time for experimentation. With so much on the line for our investors, we must deliver predictable results, and Marriott and Hilton flags are usually a good place to start.”
