HBO Launches the Upcoming New Season of Westworld with US Event Photos

TAMPA, FL, April 20, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- US Event Photos is proud to announce HBO selected their company as the photo marketing partner to promote the upcoming new season of Westworld, which premier's Sunday on the premium network. The hit series, which captured more viewers in the inaugural season than the network's own Game of Thrones, will replace that fantasy drama in the network's new lineup.

US Event Photos started with HBO three years ago, providing experiential photo marketing services to promote Game of Thrones, Ballers, Vice Principals, Veep, Last Week Tonight, and other hit shows. Using sophisticated green screen photo experiences, participants at events were seamlessly integrated into show artwork, the final image printed and exported to social media. By sandwiching the participants between digital layers, manipulating lighting and color to match the original artwork, and providing basic costuming, the final images produced at events were hard to distinguish from actual promotional show materials. Because of the success marketing those shows, HBO tapped US Event Photos to help launch Westworld, Season 2, at events, nationwide.

"I can not believe I work for HBO," said owner Michael Gatty, "They describe what they want and give me free reign to be creative. That lights our fire, and the resulting images are radically cool."

The key to the success of these photo marketing events is simple: participants are coached to channel real show characters. Gatty acts as a director as much as a photographer, and while each photo takes just a few moments, they mimic mini film sessions on an actual television set. The experiences feel authentic for participants— and so do the resulting photos.

The produced images are social media gold. Participants post the work at higher rates than similar events, and social spread and impressions is roughly triple a typical photo marketing experience.

Events launch this week in Dallas, TX in partnership with AT&T, which owns Direct TV, and In Philadelphia with Comcast.

US Event Photos is an experiential photo marketing company providing green screen, red carpet, and convention photography services. Founded by Mike's mother, Mary Ann, in the early 1980's, Mike took over the business in 2001 after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Those photos, captured two days after the destruction of the World Trade Center, earned national recognition and launched his career.
