85% of American workers are happy with their jobs, national survey shows

The majority of the American workforce is pretty happy, according to the first quarterly CNBC/Survey Monkey Workplace Happiness Index. The index measures how workers feel in five key categories — pay, opportunities for advancement, recognition, autonomy and meaning. It is an optimistic 71 out of 100.
