The halfway point of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia presented a great variety of designer’s collections, including German, Swedish, UAE and Estonian brands, a showcase from the esteemed National Design Institute and collections from such well-known Russian brands as Yasya Minochkina and N. The SS 20 collection is called the “Last outbreak”. The name is linked with the coral reef extinction problem. In the context, the color plays an important role in the clothing and its flashes symbolize the tragic death of a coral polyps colony.
GLOBAL TALENTS: SOJI SOLARIN (Germany)

In Soji Solarin’s ‘Negro Cowboy’ collection, the designer interrogates and deconstructs the boundaries society draws around identity. The words ‘black’ and ‘cowboy’ seem, at first, inconsistent. National Design Institute Fashion Show
The collections presented by the department of costume design of the National Design Institute at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia were executed under the guidance of professor Tatyana Vasilieva and tutors Elena Usenkova, Olga Bushueva and Alexandra Proshina. The presentation consists of six graduation works of bachelor students and reflects the main directions of the department’s studies.

DIANA ARNO Spring/Summer 2020 is dedicated to all of the girls who live in the city but belong to the sea, sun, sand and nature. The new collection delivers a speck of nature to the city coloured with stonework and asphalt, infusing the urban architectural lines with the nature-inspired colour palette.

The new collection received a Spanish vector: inspired by the Film director Pedro Almodovar and the film “La piel que habito”.
