Why La Salle Institute in Troy decided to go coed after 170 years

Principal Joseph Raczkowski says some parents don’t like the break from tradition. But for him, a graduate of the school who went on to attend West Point and serve in the military before returning home to lead his alma mater, he sees it as a new chapter: “The history won’t go away. It will just be enhanced.”
