Phillip Bond, a native of Gretna, Florida, will be in recital at 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2020. Tune in for the virtual performance at javacyaarts.com. Young Phillip is a thirteen-year-old violinist who aspires to become a professional classical musician. His masterclass training includes renowned violinist like Rachel Barton Pine and Shaio Simon. During summer months, at music festivals, he has studied with the late Naira Underwood-Coley and Mariana Green-Hill.
A gifted 8th-grade student at Deerlake Middle School, Phillip is a disciplined violinist who enjoys the stage. Phillip has studied with respected violinist Patrice Floyd since the 3rd grade. In just three years, he earned the Principal 2nd violin spot in the Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra and is now the concertmaster. His parents, Andre and Mene Bond
are proud of his accomplishments; however, most of all, the desire is for him to be the best person possible. They embrace his exceptional promise and are pleased about his 2020 Florida All-State Orchestra.
Phillip's special recital guest, Julian White, ll, a junior at Leon High School, is one of the regions' fine young trumpeters and a student of the Grammy-winning trumpeter and Count Basie Band director, Scottie Barnhart. Young Julian has appeared as a
soloist with Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra and received many accolades, including All-State and All-County Band in Florida. Julian's parents are Dennine (flute professor Florida A & M University-FAMU) and Julian White, Sr., the former music chair and
director of the famous Marching 100 of the Florid Agriculture and Mechanical University.
