Top Aviation Insurance Broker Highlights The Future Of The Drone Insurance And Electric Aviation Insurance Market Based On Defense Department Innovations

Corona, United States - January 26, 2021 /PressCable/

Corona, CA Release January 25th, 2021.

Military technology has often led the way for rapid innovations that can be applied for peaceful purposes. Marine veteran and BWI Aviation Insurance owner Matt White highlights this technology pipeline in the area of helo drones and electric aircraft.

Israeli defense firm Steadicopterrecently announced two new models of its esteemed Black Eagle 50 helo drone. One was intended for use in covert operations while another made it more suitable for maritime operations. While this technology was advanced for the purposes of defense and war, the civilian application of these new models can range far and wide.

BWI Aviation Insurance owner, Matt White, spoke to his customers about the impact of military technology and how it helps shape the future of aviation insurance. “Sooner or later, aviation technology developed for war always tends to make its way to the civilian market” said White. Though he clarified that he was still waiting for a shot to cover the first civilian version of a B-2 stealth bomber, the pipeline of military to civilian technology holds true.

“The defense of one’s nation is a powerful motivator to stay one step ahead of the competition as war is generally unkind to the 2nd place finisher” added White. He expects unmanned drone vehicles that are becoming commonplace in the military to become more available for civilian purposes. Helo drones that can reach higher altitudes and longer flight times will revolutionize their utility in remote areas of the world.

As a Marine veteran, White is frequently interested in the evolution of military technology and he finds that fascination equally useful when predicting the future of modern aviation insurance. “It’s our goal at BWI to cover anything that flies for peaceful purposes and we hope that includes the aircraft that will take us to the stars and beyond someday” said White. In the meantime, BWI will have to settle for covering each new generation of aviation technology that rolls from military to civilian use.
