I have been writing about ‘fashology’ on my blog since these Oakley sunglasses hit the shelves in 2006.

Oakley sold out to Luxottica and lost it’s cool. I wish they had stayed independent but I imagine Nike or Apple would have bought them by now.

Today the richest people in the world are Jeff Bezos and Bernard Arnault. Bernard traffics cognac and handbags as the leader of LVMH and Jeff traffics the cloud.

Bernard smokes cigarettes and Jeff smokes something that makes him look younger today than 20 years ago.

The biggest company in the world is the best at blending fashion and technology and that is Apple.

I think Apple continues to be undervalued in a world where fashion and technology come together.

I also think Amazon and LVMH should/will make acquisitions that bring Amazon more fashion and LVMH more technology.

PS – I am adding LVMH to my fashology index which includes $LULU $NKE $PTON $RH …it’s an imperfect index because fashion is in the eye of the beholder (in other words $CROX should be on the list)
