Personal Bests

At my age (55), personal bests are rare, unless it is for calorie intake. I don’t play team sports anymore and I don’t play enough golf to care much about getting better. I’ve been cycling forever but I am not into the heart monitor and tracking all my metrics. BUT, my new Peloton seems to have made be a bit competitive. BUT, my new Peloton seems to have made be a bit competitive.

I am focused on being in the top 10 percent of the riders in my class. The other day I pushed myself to break a personal best on my output for 30 minutes and calories burned and I eeked it out. It did feel pretty good…

A day earlier I had a personal best on my ride down the Coronado Strand as well. I have done that ride well over 100 times over at least 5 years so it is cool that Strava has tracked that and been able to show me the results…

I don’t think this will take me down the data rabbit hole, but it is great to have such simple tools working in the background to mark your progress.
