Carol Edler Baumann, longtime UWM political science professor, Women of Influence winner, dies at age 89

Carol Edler Baumann achieved full professor status in political science in 1972 and during her tenure at UWM she was appointed by U.S. Secretary of State Cyrus Vance as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State. She also served in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research at the State Department in Washington, D.C., from 1979 to 1982.
