Designed as a farewell to summer, the inaugural edition of Caveman Music Festival will be a celebration of the musical traditions and genres of folk, gospel, blues, country, jazz, rhythm and blues, bluegrass and rock and roll. The event organizers believe these are the styles that have defined the Americana musical sound in the 20th and 21st centuries.
The festival will also be a celebration of the rugged and sublime beauty of Colorado. Held at the Monument Lake Resort in Weston, Colorado, in the shadow of the dramatic Culebra Peak in the famous Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and by turquoise water and expansive pine forests of Monument Lake, the festival offers patrons a unique ability to connect with both the US’ musical and natural roots.
Included with a ticket to the festival is also full access to the spectacular grounds of the resort and the natural parks at its borders. This means that festival goers can partake in the region’s popular day hikes and enjoy the world-class brown and rainbow trout fishing that draws people to the lake all year round.
Given the festival’s location right by the glistening waters of Monument Lake, festival-goers can also take advantage of the venue’s paddle-boards, kayaks and canoes, and even rent a private pontoon for up to 14 people.

The debut edition of Caveman Music Festival is being organized by Brett McGraw, Red Shahan and Parker Morrow, a collective of established live music and festival promoters.
