These windows feature 2-fold technology that brings that glass up at a 90-degree angle and fully out of the way, providing easy access to outdoor cooking spaces or recreational areas. The specialty aluminum frame keeps the window lightweight and free of rust, improving both the durability and longevity of the product.
OpenUp’s design allows for maximum insulation and safety, constructed from two panes of tempered, UV-protective glass slightly separated to decrease thermal transfer. Each window is crafted to order using carefully selected high-quality materials, chosen for their weatherproof capabilities, among other factors. For example, each window is partially constructed using Accoya brand wood products, which are sustainably produced from certain varieties of fast-growing, low-impact trees.
This design update also sees the addition of an optional retractable screen so that the window can remain open while still keeping bugs and other detritus out. These screens come pre-built into the window frame and require no additional installation. Two screen options are currently available: a more traditional roll-away bug screen, and a pleated aluminum screen for use in a restaurant or bar setting.
