Dan Hesse Resigns from VF Corporation Board of Directors to Focus on Business Commitments

VF Corporation (NYSE:VFC) today announced that Dan Hesse, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sprint Nextel Corporation, has decided to resign from the VF Board of Directors, effectively immediately, to focus on his business commitments.

Hesse, 54, was elected to VFs Board of Directors in 1999, and served as a member on the Boards Finance and Compensation Committees.

Dan has been an outstanding director and has made significant contributions to the success of VF. We thank him for his outstanding service to VF, said VF Corporation Chairman Mackey J. McDonald.
