Notice of Delisting or Failure to Satisfy a Continued Listing Rule or Standard; Transfer of Listing. On July 6, 2005, Advanced Marketing Services, Inc. (the "Company") received a letter dated June 30, 2005 from the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE") informing it that the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") had granted the NYSE's application for the removal of the Company's stock from listing and registration on the NYSE under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The SEC order removing the Company's stock from listing and registration became effective at the opening of the trading session on June 30, 2005.
