Item 8.01.  Other Events.

On October 7, 2008, Inland Real Estate Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it will release its third quarter 2008 financial results on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 prior to 8:30 a.m. CT (9:30 a.m. ET), before trading opens on the NYSE. The Company will host a management conference call to discuss the results at 2:00 p.m. CT (3:00 p.m. ET) that same day. The conference call will also be available via live webcast on the Company’s website at http://www.inlandrealestate.com.  A copy of the press release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated in its entirety in this Item 8.01 disclosure by reference.
