  DEPARTURE OF DIRECTORS OR PRINCIPAL OFFICERS; ELECTION OF DIRECTORS; APPOINTMENT OF PRINCIPAL OFFICERS; COMPENSATORY ARRANGEMENTS OF CERTAIN OFFICERS
On April 20, 2007, Olympic Steel, Inc. was notified by Heber MacWilliams, 63, its Chief Information Officer that he will retire on May 4, 2007.
Effective upon Mr. MacWilliams’ retirement, the role of Chief Information Officer will be filled by Esther Potash.
Ms. Potash, 55, has been with Olympic Steel since 1998, most recently serving as its Corporate Director of Strategic Initiatives. Prior to joining Olympic Steel, Ms. Potash spent 13 years as a management consultant with a public accounting firm and 6 years as an analyst with the United States Navy. Ms. Potash received certification from the Institute of Management Consulting and is a member of the Association of Women in the Metal Industry.
