Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China released the List of Green Manufacturers 2022 and Heilongjiang NHU Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was accredited as the national Green Factory.
Winning this honor is a recognition of the company’s achievements in low-carbon development over the years, marking a new step taken and a new breakthrough made in green manufacturing by the company.
Facing the great challenges of the climate and environment, NHU has introduced the concept of green development from raw materials to products and taken actions around "reducing carbon emissions, effectively utilizing resources and promoting circular economy". By promoting sustainable development with high technology, low resource consumption, and environmental protection, NHU is guarding the shared home of mankind with technological innovation.
NHU has always been committed to improving product energy efficiency from the source through R&D and technological innovation. We have focused on developing products with low pollution, high output, and high added value and continued to improve the carbon emission control system, reducing the carbon footprint of products throughout their life cycle.
Following the concept of Green Chemistry with Responsibility and Care, NHU has been implementing the policy of “emission reduction from the source, process control, and end-of-pipe treatment”. We enhanced control from the source by carefully selecting the products and improving production, R&D, and equipment; strengthened R&D in energy saving and promoted process and equipment innovation; implemented the idea of “green development through clean production” by increasing the utilization of renewable resources and strengthening the management of industrial wastes. We have also integrated the concept of circular economy into every process of operation. By recycling the resources across the industrial chains, we have exhausted the value of the raw material by turning the waste into treasure and making the best use of them.
Green development is an international trend with the issues regarding resources and the environment posing common challenges for human beings and sustainable development becoming a global consensus. Going forward, NHU will continue to fulfill its commitment in green development by vigorously developing strategic emerging industries like new materials and bio-fermentation and enhancing the demonstrative and leading role of its Green Factory, keeping making greater contribution to the healthy, green, and sustainable development of the world’s economy.
