AM Best is pleased to announce that Carlos De la Torre has been promoted to Managing Director of Operations of AM Best’s Mexico-based subsidiary, A.M. Best América Latina, S.A. de C.V., Institución Calificadora de Valores (AMBAL).
De la Torre will continue to be based out of Mexico City and lead the ongoing expansion of AMBAL’s presence in Mexico, Central and South America. He will also continue to report to Andrea Keenan, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of AM Best Rating Services and Senior General Director of AMBAL, and continue to serve as a member of the AMBAL Board from the Mexico City office.
“Carlos’ leadership has played a key role in AM Best’s ongoing growth across Latin America,” Keenan said. “His presence and industry knowledge has clearly established both he and AM Best as a resource throughout the region, particularly in his market development role and as a presenter and panelist at insurance industry events across the Americas.”
