EFI USA is pleased to announce the following leadership appointments:
1. Dennis Shanklin, the founder and owner of EFI USA is being appointed to Chairman of the Board of Directors. Over the past 30+ years, Dennis has built EFI from the ground up, making a profound impact through his pioneering work in the environmental containment and biogas industries. Dennis will remain active in his new role, continuing to develop innovative solutions in wastewater and biogas treatment and managing key client and partner relationships for EFI. We look forward to his ongoing leadership and are deeply grateful for the vision, dedication, and expertise he has brought to EFI.
2. Greg Hrenya: We welcome Greg in the new position of CEO of EFI USA. Greg has an extensive background developing sustainable solutions for industries and customers in high growth environments. He has held leadership positions in the chemical industry at Bayer Corporation, Lanxess, and RD Abbott where he successfully built cross-functional teams to meet complex client needs and drive growth. Greg will assume oversight and leadership responsibilities for EFI USA, the environmental fabrics and containment solutions business, and CleanCycle Carbon, a CO2 capture and liquefaction business. Greg's vision and leadership will be pivotal as we continue to scale our operations, accelerate growth, and lead the way in innovative environmental solutions.
3. Ben Wilson is being promoted to President of EFI USA, where Ben will assume all operational responsibilities and leadership of the EFI USA team, continuing to serve our customers with quality technical and cost-effective solutions for environmental containment, with expertise in anaerobic digester liners and covers. Ben has extensive background in industrial, environmental, commercial, and institutional construction services and has successfully expanded EFI's service offerings to include biogas pretreatment and EPC construction services since joining the team in 2022.
4. Erica Chase is being promoted to President of CleanCycle Carbon, expanding upon her leadership and business development for EFI USA. Over the last three years, Erica and her team have pioneered a novel, patented CO2 capture technology from biogas and other waste streams. In addition to commercializing a full-scale beverage grade liquid CO2 production facility, Erica and her team have developed the technology to improve methane recovery rates for RNG projects from 90% to over 99%. This advancement significantly enhances project economics for RNG developers without requiring additional capital, while also improving carbon intensity scores of projects. Most notably, CleanCycle Carbon creates a biogenic alternative for a critical raw material used in the food and beverage industries, helping drive sustainability in a key sector.
