Black Hat Asia 2025 Announces Successful Close to Cybersecurity Event in Singapore

Event featured the launch of the AI Summit and the Black Hat Financial Services Summit, followed by Keynote presentations covering cyber threats in the age of artificial intelligence (AI) and securing trust in hardware supply chains

Black Hat, the cybersecurity industry’s most established and in-depth security event series, today announced the successful completion of Black Hat Asia 2025. The event welcomed more than 3,100 unique attendees joining in-person from April 1 to April 4 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.

Security professionals from 83 countries registered to attend the event and experience firsthand the latest in cybersecurity research, developments, and trends through 43 Briefings, four days of deeply technical hands-on Trainings, a full day of Summits, 10 Sponsored Sessions, and 53 in-person tool demos covering exploitation and ethical hacking, malware offense, digital forensics and incident response (DFIR), and more.

Show highlights for 2025 included:

  • Keynotes: This year’s event featured two Keynote presentations. The opening Keynote was presented by Edward Chen, Deputy Chief Executive of the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore; and the second Keynote was presented by Bunnie Huang, founder of Bunnie Studios.
  • Business Hall: This year’s Business Hall showcased the latest products and technologies from more than 45 of the industry’s leading cybersecurity solution providers. The Business Hall also featured areas for attendee, vendor, and community engagement, including Exhibitor Booths, Startup City, Black Hat Arsenal, Sponsored Sessions, Bricks & Picks, the Community Program, Networking Lounges, and more.
  • Summits: On Wednesday, April 2, the event featured a full day of Summit content, including the inaugural AI Summit at Black Hat Asia and the inaugural Black Hat Financial Services Summit.
  • Black Hat Startup Spotlight Competition: New for 2025, the Black Hat Startup Spotlight Competition debuted at Black Hat Asia. The Black Hat Startup Spotlight Competition is a pitch competition for cybersecurity startup companies to present their products and solutions in front of a live audience at Black Hat. Finalists included Evren, FireTail, ProjectDiscovery, and VulnCheck. On April 3, ProjectDiscovery was announced as the winner.
  • Career Quest: Newly launched at Black Hat Asia as part of Black Hat’s Professional Development pilot program within the wider Community Program, Career Quest was a gamified experience designed to make learning, collaboration, and career growth both engaging and competitive. Attendees were invited to participate in a Capture the Flag (CTF)-style challenge with hands-on exercises in key career development areas, including skills gap analysis, resume refinement, mock interviews, and more.
  • Scholarships: As a way to introduce the next generation of security professionals to the Black Hat community, Black Hat Asia awarded 63 complimentary Briefings passes.
