New Mobile Branch Brings Full-Service Banking, Financial Education, and Local Bank Support to Communities from DFW to Abilene
First Bank Texas, member FDIC and the oldest national bank in Texas, is hitting the road this spring with a new mobile banking branch designed to deliver full-service banking and financial education to neighborhoods, community and sporting events, festivals, and schools.
“From the days of the stagecoach to the digital age, our bank has always worked to meet our customers where they are,” said Zan Prince, Chairman of the Board for First Bank Texas. “This mobile branch is the next step in that mission — taking our services out into the neighborhoods. From a grandmother in a senior community to her grandchild on the football field, we’re showing up for every generation and bringing access to full-service banking with the support and real relationships that only a local bank can offer.”
Far more than a rolling cash dispenser, the high-tech mobile branch comes outfitted with full-service account support and instant-issue debit card printing (including mascot-branded cards at athletic events), as well as real-time video banking when more in-depth support is required. Customers can open accounts, talk to a video banker or via ITM (interactive teller machine), and even begin the process for personal, home, and business loans and wealth planning.
Beyond banking, the mobile branch represents a commitment to ongoing community financial education. First Bank Texas plans to bring the branch to school and college prep events and community festivals, introducing younger customers to smart financial habits and showing families how banking can support their goals — from savings plans to small business loan dreams.
The mobile branch will also serve as a vital link during emergencies or disasters, allowing the bank to provide service quickly in affected areas when traditional infrastructure may be down.
With deep roots in towns like Baird and Munday, First Bank Texas has grown to 14 locations across North and West Texas while remaining focused on relationships, trust, and responsive service. In an age of instant apps and online transactions, the value of a local bank shows up when it matters most — whether it’s solving a problem, recovering from fraud, or navigating a major life change. The new mobile branch extends that same personal support to schools, neighborhoods, and community events, meeting customers wherever they are and making it easier to get real help from people who actually know them.
“In Parker County, it’s about convenience. In West Texas, it’s about access,” said Prince. “But everywhere we go, it’s about showing up with high-tech service and high-touch care. We’ve always believed that a need identified is a need met, and this mobile branch is one more way we’re putting that belief into action, bringing full-service, personal banking deep into the communities we call home.”
