Hu Qingpeng: Thank you for your attention. Indeed, since graduating from the Material Engineering Technology program at Henan University of Technology in 2009, I have developed an indissoluble bond with the materials field. My career began with the basic study and research of material science, which laid a solid foundation for my later entry into the abrasives industry. In the early days after graduation, I worked in several material-related companies, accumulating rich practical experience and gradually mastering the research and application of materials. In 2014, I joined Kaiyuan Geesung Abrasives Co., Ltd., serving as Technical Director and later General Manager, fully responsible for the company’s technical research and development, production management, and market development. In this process, I actively promoted technological innovation, improved product quality, and successfully expanded the company’s market share, establishing a good reputation in the industry. After several years of effort, our company has gradually developed into one of the leading enterprises in the domestic abrasives field.

Reporter: We understand that you have achieved significant success in technology research and development. Could you elaborate on your work in technical leadership and innovation?

Hu Qingpeng: In terms of technical leadership and innovation, I lead the team in continuously exploring and adopting the latest grinding technologies and materials to ensure that our products meet the requirements of industries such as aerospace and shipbuilding. We strive to improve the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of our products to meet industry standards. At the same time, we are also developing new materials, such as composite sanding discs, to improve the durability and efficiency of our products and reduce environmental impact. We maintain cooperation with universities and research institutions, regularly conducting technical exchanges to ensure that our research and development direction aligns with industry trends. Moreover, we focus on fostering a sense of innovation within the team, encouraging every member to propose creative ideas and suggestions to create a good research and development atmosphere. These efforts have allowed us to gradually improve our technical level and provide better products and services to our customers.

Reporter: In the current fierce market competition, improving production efficiency and automation level is also particularly important. What specific measures have you taken to achieve these goals? What significant changes have these measures brought to the company?

Hu Qingpeng: In terms of production efficiency and automation, we have adopted a series of innovative measures. First, we developed the “Cloud-Based Intelligent Grinding Parameter Optimization System,” which uses cloud computing technology and artificial intelligence algorithms to optimize key parameters in the grinding process. This system not only improves grinding efficiency and reduces material loss but also ensures the stability of processing quality. With this system, we can automatically recommend the optimal grinding speed, pressure, and path based on different material characteristics, greatly enhancing production efficiency.

Additionally, we have developed the “Material Removal Rate Prediction and Control System for Grinding Processes Utilizing Big Data Analysis.” This system collects data in real-time during the grinding process and combines it with big data analysis to accurately predict the material removal rate and dynamically adjust grinding parameters through intelligent control algorithms. The application of this system not only improves the precision and efficiency of the grinding process but also reduces production costs and enhances the stability of product quality.

Our production consistency and efficiency have been significantly improved, and the increase in automation has reduced human errors, making our product quality more reliable. Reporter: In terms of intelligent control, you have also developed the "Grinding Automation and Intelligent Control System for Industry 4.0." Could you share how this system has helped the company to achieve industrial upgrading?

Hu Qingpeng: The "Grinding Automation and Intelligent Control System for Industry 4.0" is crucial for our industrial upgrading. This system achieves precise control and optimization of the grinding process through the integration of sensors, automated equipment, and intelligent algorithms. It not only automatically adjusts grinding parameters but also predicts equipment status and production trends through real-time data analysis and machine learning technology, thus identifying and solving problems in advance.

The application of this intelligent control system has greatly enhanced the flexibility and reliability of our production lines, reducing uncertainty in the production process. It ensures the continuity and efficiency of the production process through remote monitoring and adaptive adjustments. For example, our environmentally friendly composite sanding discs were developed under this philosophy, which not only improve the durability and efficiency of the products but also reduce environmental impact.
