Wytheville, Virginia, known for its southern hospitality, scenic landscapes, and timeless charm, is bringing its story to life in a new way. The Wytheville Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched a completely redesigned tourism website developed by ITI Digital. Powered by the company’s Destination Experience Platform (DXP), the new site blends automation, storytelling, and intuitive design to connect travelers with authentic local experiences and make trip planning effortless.

This launch marks the next chapter in a successful collaboration between ITI Digital and Visit Wytheville. Since 2020, the destination technology provider has supported Visit Wytheville’s digital transformation, beginning with the creation of a Virtual Visitor Center—an innovative solution introduced during the pandemic to keep travelers connected and inspired. The new website, launched in August 2025, builds on that foundation, offering a fully dynamic, interactive, and story-driven experience that reflects both Wytheville’s vibrant culture and the future of digital destination marketing.

Technology that Powers Authentic Storytelling

Built on ITI Digital’s Digital Experience Platform, the new Visit Wytheville website seamlessly integrates automation, user engagement, and data intelligence. Thirteen pages across the site now feature automated, AI-powered content that continuously updates business listings, events, and itineraries. The result is a living digital hub that evolves alongside the destination itself.

The platform automates more than 200 listings, showcasing current Google reviews, images, maps, and contact information for Wytheville’s lodging, dining, shopping, and attraction partners. The Wytheville team manages everything through a centralized dashboard, saving valuable time once spent sourcing, uploading, and formatting content. This streamlined system ensures accuracy, consistency, and a visually rich experience for visitors exploring what to see and do. It also strengthens visibility for local businesses and community partners, connecting them with travelers seeking authentic Southwest Virginia experiences.

The Events Calendar, also powered by automation, brings together both community-submitted and curated events. With over 520 published events in 2025, travelers can easily discover upcoming festivals, performances, and seasonal experiences that showcase Wytheville’s welcoming hospitality.

Personalized Exploration Through Itineraries and Trip Planning

Beyond listings and events, the platform enhances destination storytelling through GPS-enabled itineraries designed for every type of traveler. From scenic motorcycle routes and walking tours to themed adventures around history, art, and the outdoors, each itinerary guides visitors through Wytheville’s most memorable places and experiences.

An integrated Trip Planner allows travelers to customize their journey by saving preferred stops, lodging, and dining options—all mapped across the region for a seamless planning experience. Among the most visited sections is the Claw of the Dragon page, celebrating one of Virginia’s most famous motorcycle routes. With detailed maps, scenic loops, and insider tips, Wytheville positions itself as the ideal basecamp for riders seeking adventure through the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Meaningful Results in the First Months

In just two months since launch, measurable improvements are already evident. The new website has achieved a 72% increase in average session duration and a 52% increase in pages viewed per session—clear signs that travelers are spending more time engaging with Wytheville’s stories, itineraries, and experiences.

For the tourism team, the new platform has significantly reduced manual workflows. Automated updates and centralized management allow staff to focus more on creative storytelling, partner collaboration, and strategic marketing—amplifying the destination’s impact both online and offline.

A Partnership Driving Destination Innovation

For ITI Digital, the project reflects its ongoing commitment to helping destinations harness automation and AI to tell their stories more dynamically and effectively.

“Wytheville’s new site is a powerful example of how technology and storytelling come together to inspire travel,” said Franci Edgerly, CEO of ITI Digital. “Our DXP empowers destinations to turn information into inspiration, creating digital experiences as authentic and inviting as the destinations they represent.”

Visitors can explore the new website and begin planning their next trip at VisitWytheville.com. With automated listings, immersive itineraries, and rich storytelling, the site captures everything that makes Wytheville an unforgettable destination in the heart of Southwest Virginia.
