10|10 Motion Pictures Launches with Breakout Short Film and Plans for New Independent Filmmaker Hub in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES - April 9, 2025 - PRLog -- 10|10 Motion Pictures, a rising force in independent cinema, proudly announces that its debut short film Clean Queens has been officially selected for both the Pasadena International Film Festival and the LA Film Festival—two of the most respected platforms celebrating innovation in storytelling and multicultural creative voices. The film's selection marks a powerful debut for the newly launched production company, which is committed to elevating emerging filmmakers and producing content that reflects untold stories and underrepresented communities.
Clean Queens, a crime dramedy rich with grit, heart, and cultural nuance, made its festival premiere on April 4, 2025, in the Narrative Short category at the Pasadena International Film Festival. Winners for that festival will be announced on April 10. The momentum continues in May, when the film will screen as part of the LA Film Festival's Short Films program, running May 14 through May 25. The official screening date and time will be announced when the festival program goes live on April 25.
Praised for its compelling performances and bold narrative, Clean Queens follows two women, Josie and Janie, as they navigate loyalty, blurred moral lines, and unexpected redemption while launching an unconventional business venture. The film has quickly gained attention for its cinematic vision and storytelling from a fresh cultural perspective, representing the kind of work 10|10 Motion Pictures was created to champion.
"Being selected for both Pasadena and LA Film Festival is a huge honor and a testament to the kind of stories we're passionate about telling—ones that are authentic, character-driven, and culturally resonant," said Destiny Joelle, co-founder of 10|10 Motion Pictures and lead actress in the film. "We're building a platform for emerging artists, especially those who haven't traditionally had access to the industry, to bring their stories to life."
Destiny Joelle, a former elite athlete turned creative force and accomplished actress, has made it her mission to amplify diverse voices in film. Alongside husband, co-founder and filmmaker Sebastian F. Taylor, the duo is shaping 10|10 Motion Pictures into a modern, inclusive production house that prioritizes vision and purpose just as much as performance and polish.
Beyond the success of Clean Queens, 10|10 Motion Pictures is laying the groundwork for the Fall 2025 launch of 10|10 Production House, a co-working space and creative hub for independent filmmakers. The facility will offer access to top-tier equipment, intimate workshops, a community of collaborators, and a one-of-a-kind screening theater designed to support artists from script to screen.
"10|10 Production House is our answer to the lack of inclusive, accessible spaces in film production," said Sebastian. "We want to remove the gatekeeping and create a space where creatives—especially multicultural and first-time filmmakers—can develop, connect, and thrive. With so many artists being pushed out of LA, we're proud to be part of the #StayInLA movement—proving you don't have to leave the city to find opportunity, collaboration, or community."
As 10|10 Motion Pictures makes its mark on the independent film scene, the success of Clean Queens signals a bold new chapter for filmmakers who dare to tell stories that disrupt, inspire, and represent.
