Associated Banc-Corp (NASDAQ: ASBC) announced today that Oliver Buechse has been appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer. Buechse will also serve as a member of the Associated Banc-Corp Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Associated, Buechse served as head of strategy at San Francisco-based Union Bank and was in charge of North American Vision and Portfolio Strategy for Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Union Bank’s parent company. He started his career at McKinsey & Company, working in the U.S, Germany, and Austria. Buechse holds a Ph.D. in Economic Psychology from the University of Klagenfurt/Austria.
