UPDATE 2-ADM Q1 profit falls on severe weather, considers ethanol spinoff

U.S. grains merchant Archer Daniels Midland Co reported a steep 41 percent drop in first-quarter profit on Friday, following Midwestern floods and blizzards, and said it was considering spinning off its ethanol business.
