Grain trader Archer Daniels Midland Co posted higher-than-expected quarterly profit on Thursday, as increased returns in its nutrition business and improved U.S. grain marketing efforts helped cushion the impact of sluggish commodity prices, ethanol industry troubles and trade war woes.
