She works at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

North Mississippi Medical Center, a 640-bed regional referral center, holds the distinction of being the largest, private, not-for-profit hospital in Mississippi and the largest non-metropolitan hospital in America. The medical center serves more than 730,000 people in 24 counties in north Mississippi, northwest Alabama, and portions of Tennessee. Area residents have access to a medical staff representing more than 50 medical specialties, as well as centers of excellence in cardiac surgery, cardiology, research, neurology, neurosurgery, pulmonology, rehabilitation, cancer treatment, chemical dependency, and neonatal programs.

Graduating with her nursing degree (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program) from Itawamba Community College in 1988, Pam went on to further her education. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Mississippi University for Women, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing degree (Family Nurse Practitioner Program) from Southern Christian University.

In order to stay up to date in her field, she remains an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. It is the largest and only full-service national professional membership organization for NPs of all specialties.

A Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) is an advanced practice registered nurse who holds board certification and works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to deliver family-focused care. Given the rather broad nature of the "family" patient population focus, FNPs offer a wide range of healthcare services that revolve around the family unit; from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan.

A Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) is an advanced practice registered nurse trained to provide a wide range of mental health services to patients and families in a variety of settings. PMHNPs diagnose conduct therapy and prescribe medications for patients who have psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders, or substance abuse problems. They are licensed to provide emergency psychiatric services, psychosocial and physical assessment of their patients, treatment plans, and manage patient care. They may also serve as consultants or as educators for families and staff.
