Academically, Dr. Ogburn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1970 and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1973. Upon graduation, he went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in 1978, and his fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1980.
With years of experience, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology & maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
