Regarding her educational background, Dr. Shastri holds a Master's degree in Physiology from Georgetown University and earned her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She then went on to complete both her residency and fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility.
A member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the doctor is board-certified in reproductive endocrinology/infertility & obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
