Dr. Caron graduated from Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in 1982, serving as class President. He completed a general surgery internship at Loyola University Medical Center in 1983 and a residency in Neurological Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in 1989. He was Visiting Chief Resident at UCSF Medical Center in 1987. Previous appointments include Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery, UCLA Medical Center as founding Director of the Clinical Brain Injury Program (1989-1994).
