Long-awaited opening of $1.9B Northgate light rail extension is here

The many changes coming with the historic opening will give the Seattle region a genuine rapid mass transit system. Over the next three years the light rail network will nearly triple in reach, from 22 to 62 miles, with service extensions on the Eastside and in Pierce and Snohomish counties.
