By: Get News
Kickstarter Campaign for Emotional Collidescope Introspection Deck Launches October 1st Ruth ModohEmotional Collidescope “The Introspection Deck” is a 90 question card deck that was designed to help people connect deeper with their friends, family and themselves. Inspired by Sigmund Freud’s Three Levels of Mind, the questions get progressively deeper as players move through the levels.

Langley, BC – Ruth Modoh, the brain behind (Emotional Collidescope: The Introspection Deck) describes it as a tool to create open dialogs. Further explaining Ruth shared:

“It is a holistic resource to support, nurture, and improve mental wellbeing. By harnessing the power of human connections, I hope to foster a safe space for people to express their feelings, thoughts, and emotions in the presence of people they already trust.”

Live on Kickstarter:

The crowdfunding campaign is live and seeking funding. Kickstarter is an “all or nothing” model so you must meet your goal or the funding is reimbursed to the backers. We set an achievable goal of $6000 and we were overfunded within the first 48 hours of launching our campaign. Although, the real goal we are striving for is $20,000 – this includes all of the upgrades for the cards and box that we know you want. $20,000 would ensure we go into full production of 1000 decks of the true vision of what Emotional Collidescope can be. This also includes express shipping to Canada for faster delivery for the backers. Meeting this goal would ensure the artists are compensated for their art and that we can begin the business of selling these decks to a worldwide audience. Please see the next section for the stretch goals and feature upgrades. One side has a beautiful klecksography inkblot piece from one of the three artists. The flipside has a question that has been formulated and tested by the creator.

How to Use:

The deck is very flexible in its use and the only real rule is; the cardholder must not be interrupted when they are expressing their answers. The deck can be used between friends, family, couples, and solely. It is a pick-up style format, where the participants will take turns picking up a card and answering. Its intended use is to work through the levels Conscious, Preconscious, and Subconscious – in that order. Each level should only be shuffled individually as the levels indicate a difference in intensity and depth.

One person: for personal use, shadow work, or daily reflection

Two people: Participants take turns picking up a card and answering the question. Participants are free to appreciate and remark on the artwork on the backside of the card.

Groups: Participants take turns picking up a card and answering the question. Participants are free to appreciate and remark on the artwork on the backside of the card.

Flexibility: The card dimensions are tarot-sized and appeal to the divination community. The Introspection Deck can be used alongside tarot or an oracle deck.

Ruth’s Background

Originally from Australia, Ruth completed a degree in Psychological Science from Charles Darwin University in hopes of one day becoming a licensed and practicing Psychologist. In 2018 she moved to Vancouver, Canada seeking adventure. Just before the covid outbreak, Ruth lost her job and lockdowns began. Once things started to open back up in Vancouver, her holiday working visa had expired and she was unable to work. Searching for a way to bridge her passion for human connection and healing with her education and ample free time – Emotional Collidescope The Introspection Deck was born.

Ruth’s thoughts on the future of therapy:

“I believe the future of therapy is not going to be visiting a person you have no real connection with, sharing your vulnerabilities with them, only to keep them confidential. I believe the future of therapy is finding ways of sharing those traumas and exploring them with the people closest in your life. I believe this is how true healing and insight happens. Emotional Collidescope is a vehicle for therapeutic conversations.”

Please help Ruth on her first entrepreneurial endeavor and invest in therapeutic and meaningful conversations around the world. Partake in the creation of this intuitive deck by backing the Kickstarter campaign. Any pledge helps and you will not be charged until the campaign is concluded on October 30th.
