Hailing from Kochi In Kerala - the Queen Of Arabian Sea - her parents had Dr Amjada Yasmeen as their first child in the wintry chillness of December in the middle eastern country of the sultanate of Oman. This is where she grew up and lived till the age of 15. It is also in this quaint and culturally rich country that she first learned to dream.

Amidst the tall mountains that were unique to this country as opposed to the never ending deserts of middle east, she built dreams that were tall and free willed. The mesmerizing nature and kind people are still held very close to her heart. At the age of 5, she knew to read and write in multiple languages' courtesy her first teacher, the best friend and confidante her mother. At the age of 8 she used to replace song lyrics with politically relevant stories and sing to her family as a version of entertainment.

She was a hardworking student as was an avid reader and had big dreams of clearing the Indian administrative service (Ias) exams, however at the age of 14, a dear teacher planted the love for medicine and then began the journey to become a doctor. Throughout this journey it was always writing that helped her keep her head on her shoulders and think straight through the turbulence of attaining her dreams.

At age 11 when she began writing she was a novice to poetry however soon she began reading poetry and fell in love with the beauty and ease of communicating stories and regaling eras worth of conventions through emotions that panned out so well, the reader was sure to shed a tear or giggle joyously with the poet, it was this ability of the poets to transcend boundaries, ages, eras and even death and still be relevant that was of utmost allure to her. At age 13, she was recipient of third prize in an essay writing competition held by Kerala sahithya academy to commemorate the centenary celebrations of the great writer Vaikom Mohammed Basheer, she was the youngest participant where all her co participants were well above the age of 18 .

Thereafter, she was given much guidance and advice by all her mentors especially her father who exhibits a positive and nurturing take on everything. Her brother, husband ad in laws have also been the pillars to support her growth. Her rambles were born as part of her dream to communicate to like-minded people across borders to spread hope and love. She aspires to advocate unity and empathy through her writings.

She also dreams to use her medical knowledge to empower and spread awareness amongst her peers. She believes it was destiny that brought her close to publishing her first poetry book, the journey in itself was a very humbling experience where she learned a lot of new things . Her family and friends were graciously generous in their support and it is in reverent gratitude that she remarks on their encouragement. Here’s too much more insight and writing.
