The Story of Scott Capelin: How a Bestselling Author Created a Franchise That Improves Lives

Scott Capelin is an Australian cross-fitness expert, scholar, an international bestselling author, and the owner of Scott Capelin inLIFE Wellness company.

Scott Capelin is a married father of three girls and is passionate about family, wellness, and striving to help others live the best lives they could. He is also the founder and owner of inLIFE Wellness, a rapidly growing wellness franchise established in 2019. 

As an internationally recognized bestselling author, Scott has authored numerous books that have strongly impacted the lives of his readers, such as “inShape, inLove, inspired!”, and “Fit to Flourish – 7 Simple Steps to Mindset Mastery”. These books offer a direct insight into the kind of person Scott is. 

Scott capelin pours his heart and experience into each book he wrote and published; in turn, his work was met with remarkably positive feedback from countless fitness & wellness enthusiasts across the globe. As a multi-talented businessman, Scott has also built and sold multiple businesses throughout his two-decade career in the health & fitness space. 

Scott was the oldest of four children and grew up in Miranda, NSW. He had a humble and happy upbringing, with a life centered around family and fitness. 

His father worked in an office for 45 years, and Scott imagined his life would take a similar route. After obtaining a business degree specializing in marketing and legal studies, Scott worked at the head office of Woolworths. 

Scott remembers being proud of what he had achieved, but looked at his younger brother with deepest admiration:

“My brother was a personal trainer, and I was inspired by him. He was happy, had control over his life, and was changing lives.”

Scott loved the idea of changing people’s lives but wanted to do more. He merged his love of fitness with his passion for business, and thus,  Scott Capelin inLIFE Wellness was born. 

Scott Capelin strives to improve in all that he does; he said “One of my core values as a human is ongoing personal and professional growth and development.” 

He owned five franchises with Vision Personal Training, which he sold in 2011. During this time, Scott learned all about fitness, systems, marketing, leadership, and business management, having spent over a decade in VPT. 

He then opened the Tribe Social Fitness gym and created a unique class system that was remarkably successful and enabled him to sell his business and search for new opportunities. 

As a business coach with nearly two decades of experience, Scott decided he could use this skill to enrich his offering:

“I thought “why not be a franchisor to bottle and implement all my knowledge into a business model?” I’ll get to coach and mentor people with my proven system,” Scott said. 

Scott’s key focus is on helping people thrive in their businesses with inLIFE Wellness. He offers what he describes as “an extremely cost-effective business model and a proven system that makes the franchises simple to operate.”

Currently, 7 inLIFE Wellness franchises have been launched within just a few months of kick-off with several others being on the horizon. Scott imparted that choosing the right team members is of utmost importance, saying:

“There is a fine line when it comes to sourcing the right people, where you don’t want someone to be a pushover, but you want them to respect the system.”

Scott’s motto is “Always follow your heart, but take your brains with you. I want people to know they can follow their heart and they’ll get the support. All the help you need is available if you just open yourself up to it,” he said.
