When it comes to fashion trends on the runway, the usual suspects like hot pink and micro-mini skirts were nowhere to be seen. Instead, the revival of the color red sparked the most discussion after the shows. Additionally, the focus shifted towards more wearable silhouettes and maxi-length garments, a common theme seen in collections from Simkhai, Coach, and Priscavera. The accessories also followed suit with practical tote bags and statement jewelry that were both fashionable and functional.

In the fashion industry, there are well-known stars such as Katie Holmes and Julia Fox who always make an appearance during the week. However, this season at New York Fashion Week, there were some surprising celebrities in attendance. Lindsay Lohan showed up at Christian Siriano's show to support her siblings who were modeling, and Christian Cowan invited popular musicians like Lil Nas X and Sam Smith who made a big impression with their outfits. The White Lotus star Jon Gries made his debut on the runway at Eckhaus Latta, and the gorgeous actress Chloƫ Sevigny opened Proenza Schouler. Fashion influencer and model Katerina Dune attended NYFW and was spotted at some major shows, including Christian Siriano, Coach, and Michael Kors. Going to Siriano show Dune was wearing Ukrainian designer BEVZA. The talented designer has been making waves in the industry with her unique and innovative designs, and it was great to see Katerina wearing one of her creations.

In September, the pleasant and predictable weather provides an opportunity for designers to be more creative with the locations of their shows. For this particular season, Spring Studios remained the center of activity, while other shows occurred in various parts of the city. Surprisinly, people who usually attend events in downtown Manhattan also attended events in Midtown, which is more uptown. Additionally, well-known individuals attended afterparties held at the newly opened Virgin Hotel, which got popular for parties hosted by High Snobiety and Loewe. The Hard Rock Hotel in the same area hosted the Daily Front Row event. Despite this, some brands still decieded to host events at lively venues downtown, such as Jean's and Loosie's. Fashionable individuals also spent time at the recently opened micro-club called Outerheaven. You should consider adding these locations to your list of places to visit in New York City.
