Associated Banc-Corp (NASDAQ: ASBC) today announced that Edward J. Weisto has joined Associated’s Corporate Banking Capital Markets Group as Senior Vice President, Director of Loan Syndications. Based in Chicago, he is responsible for originating, structuring and executing loan syndications for clients throughout Associated’s business footprint of Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.
“Ed will play a key role in our Corporate Banking division,” said Peter Thursby, Executive Vice President, Corporate Banking. “We are very pleased to have him as part of our team of experts in corporate financing.” Thursby, who is also based in Chicago, joined Associated Banc-Corp in December 2007. Thursby has corporate-wide responsibility for various aspects of Corporate Banking including Treasury Management, International Banking, Capital Markets, and Correspondent Banking.
Prior to joining Associated, Weisto was Senior Vice President and Director of the Loan Syndications Group for ABN AMRO Global Markets in Chicago, where he helped develop and grow the company’s LaSalle Bank loan syndication operation. Previously, he held the position of Vice President of Loan Syndications and Private Placements at PNC Capital Markets, Pittsburgh.
Weisto holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
